Vinith - I don't have words to explain. Each and every phrase of melody is soaked with emotions. But just wanted to communicate that I am addicted to this soundtrack and that is why a short review.
This is the album, which made me keep it in loop in my playlist after Katradhu Tamil. Believe me, I did not listen to any other song since saturday. Listening only to Nan Kadavul!
Though this album is devoid of cacophonous noises which are used in the present scenario in the name of music, it lacks new age instruments and using the old 80's kinda sound and orchestration doesn't goes that great in current trend. Need to catch up to appeal unanimously. Amma un pillai is rework from the past. "om shivaom" reflects the theme of the movie and stands out. Just an average score.
Well...you call all the computer loop generated music to be the present day music...mmm...I wouldn't even consider them as music...BTW, I am wondering about the longlastingness of the present day music...
hmmm is this a movie about beggars n sanyasi's...i dont know wat bala is trying to portray using saamiyar's.. it has 5 songs..4 songs on begging and 1 ruthrathandava song..
Bala should have made the title as "Raapichai" that wud've been apt. credit goes to bala n Illayaraja..
Stunning!!!

ReplyDeleteOm Shivo hum means I am shiva( shivaha aham).
So , now do you wanna rephrase your statement 'om raaja hum' or keep it ? ;)
Vignesh - Nice review.
ReplyDeleteDivya - I will read it.
ReplyDeleteVijay - I will rephrase it as 'On Raaja Om'. I guess that would be fine... I initially had doubts about it.. .thanks for pointing it..

ReplyDeleteArnie - I didn't think much about the technical aspects of the music, the pouring emotions in each song just kicks off all other cerebral thoughts...
ReplyDeleteAnd Dev.D is stunning. Yet to catch up with all its intricacies as I have been listening to Naan Kadavul for past few days...
