I am not sure whether this happened in the history of Indian Cinema before. The poster of the movie has just the photo of its composer and not even the pictures of main lead features in this poster. Usually the small size picture of the composers will be put up only in the top right corner of the posters. Anyway, A.R.Rahman looks cool with a guitar in his Hand. I really expect some great melodies in the movie like that of "Kangalal Kaithi Sei" and "Rhythm".

You did not get the theme or meaning of the poster well, it was actually his b'day couple of days back and that's the main reason A.R.R was there in full poster, but majority of the poster has Jo and Surya and couple of others with Bhoomika !
I believe we are going to witness some great music for the movie Jillendru oru Kadhal, because Surya has mentioned many times that Arr was the first one to accept the project, and he was really excited about this project.
Ithu ennanga periya vishayam, Anjali record cover la full size Raaja padam than irukkum, even manirathnam photo kuda irukkathu.
dreamchaser: the poster has no birthday wishes to ARR and that made me to think the other way
nitin: sure, sure....
anon: having a full size picture for the audio record is nothing new as the composer is given importance in audio marketing and sales but for the movie, i don't remember any movie poster having only picture of IR in it. by the way i am don't belong to anit-IR group. I am a great fan of his music.
There was a time Illayaraja had huge cut-outs in theatres which would match the size of the hero :-)
Anyways its nice to see ppl highlighting the music director in posters.
